CSI Workshops and Public Performance FAQ

Director, Julia Lee will work with you to identify what outcomes you wish to achieve, you will then work together to design the programme best suited to you.
After this initial meeting you will then both agree the programme required and book the sessions and times of delivery as appropriate.

CSI will plan and deliver the workshops, however, there are expectations that you will support the participants in between each session. This will be pre-agreed based on the programme and the outcomes you are trying to achieve.

Monitoring progress is agreed on an individual basis depending on the outcomes you are trying to achieve.

Every session is framed using Kolb learning cycle. Why they are doing the session? What they will be doing? How we are going to do it? What next – once they have the information from the session how can they implement it

We do not want people to miss out on the opportunity, so please talk to us and we will look at how to source the funding or alternative ways to pay.

There are a whole range of events which benefit from CSI public performance. CSI performance uses Julia Lee’s extraordinary personal journey to adapted it to meet your outcomes. This can be in business or community settings. Initially, we would meet to look at what your expectations were then bespoke the presentation

Performances vary from 20 to 60 minutes depending on the event and your outcomes. If it’s identified in the initial consultation Julia can also be available before or after her performance

CSI Coaching FAQ

CSI Life coaches utilise techniques to help you in all aspects of life. If you’re finding some aspect of your life difficult, for instance, moving out of your comfort zone, standing up for yourself, struggling with change, worry what other people think, difficult life circumstances or wanting to excel at a skill, then consulting a CSI life coach could help you manage any of these issues.

We have identified below some of the areas CSI Life Coaching can help and support you with;

  • Business life –Performing at work or dealing with a particular individual. Sometimes we get so absorbed in our work we neglect ourselves. Life coaches can help with confidence, leadership, decision-making and work/life balance.
  • Personal life -Do you feel like you’re not making the most of life? There’s so much to see, do and learn in this world, but often a lack of confidence, time and will-power can cause us to side step the opportunities life has to offer. CSI uses specialist skills to motivate you to do the things you want to do, instead of being drawn towards procrastination.
  • Performance -Improvement is at the heart of life coaching. Whatever your current skills and attributes, life coaching could help improve them. Whether you’re an athlete, an artist, a writer, a performer, or a musician – adopting specialist techniques will help you to push your limitations and exceed expectations.

CSI Life Coaching looks to empower an individual by helping them make, meet and exceed goals in both their personal and professional lives over an agreed timeframe. Our unique coaching is approached through questions, and exercises to see what you want to get out of the sessions. CSI Coaches are qualified in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Hypnosis, so a blended approach can be utilised to meet the needs of the individual.

Before attending the first session you will be asked to complete a short form in preparation for the session. The first CSI Life Coaching session will look to gain an overall perspective of your life, before identifying which area you seek to improve or are currently unhappy with, this normally takes between one and one and a half hours, sessions there after will then usually be one-hour duration.

During the session we will agree goals that during sessions will be broken down into more achievable objectives. As part of your commitment, we will expect you to complete a formal agreement and agree on the number of sessions and timeframes.

After each session it’s up to you to go away and reflect and use any of the techniques you have been taught and work on what has been agreed. There will be access to email and telephone support in between sessions.

You can have as many or as few life coaching sessions as you like or feel you need. We operate face to face, over the phone or via the Internet, the sessions can easily fit around your schedule. We have a very flexible approach, so it’s up to you, some people hire a life coach once every few months, some have a session once a week. It is entirely up to you to decide.

Julia coaches with Indirect Hypnosis which is permissive hypnosis which works on the premise that you are in control and you have the resources to fix your own problems, we just help to direct you.

Hypnosis is different from other coaching techniques, when a belief, attitude, condition or habit is held in the subconscious mind, it’s very difficult to change when working on a conscious level (as most other techniques do) and therefore the problem can often persist.

Hypnotherapy works on both a conscious and subconscious level and so changes can often be surprisingly quick, positive and long lasting.

A relaxed type of trance is created when we focus internally and a heightened sense of awareness when focussed externally (for instance when playing sports.)

Hypnosis is not sleep, although many hypnotists use the word “sleep” when talking about the process. Therefore, some people can believe that they were not in a trance, because they were aware of everything that happened, some may even believe that it didn’t work because they remembered everything. Most people experience hypnosis and remember everything that happened.

Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state (trance) that happens to us all dozens of times a day while reading, watching TV and daydreaming. If you’ve ever been lost in a film or transported to a faraway place while reading a book, day-dreamed while gazing out of a moving train or been so focussed on a sport or hobby that everything else ceased to exist… then you’ve been in a trance.

Not at all, for the coaching to work the coach and you need to work together, if you resist, it won’t work, by in is a must by you as the individual.

No, the truth is that if you were asked to do anything against your will it would break rapport and you would simply open your eyes and come out of hypnosis.

It’s impossible to get stuck in hypnosis and you can open your eyes at any time, even if the coach has left the room you would simply awaken naturally.

The term ‘life coach’ encompasses a range of areas. Within this, a coach may choose to hone in on a specific area, for example, business coaches have expertise in the business world and therefore choose to coach people looking to excel in business, this could include entrepreneurs, company owners, managers of employees

One difference between counselling and life coaching is that counselling can investigate the underlying causes of mental health problems. Life coaching focuses more so on the future to encourage personal-development and self-improvement. CSI Life coaches are not qualified to diagnose or treat any health-related problems, although if the situation arises they may suggest you see a GP.
